2012 Lewton-Brain Foldforming Competition

Winners of the inaugural Lewton-Brain Foldform Competition were announced on Aug 6, 2012 at the 5th Annual Charles Lewton-Brain Conference hosted by the Center for Metal Arts in downstate, New York. This video showcases the winning entries and also twenty Jurors' Choice pieces selected by Charles from among the hundreds of entries submitted by artists around the world.  Read more...

I was more than happy to create this video for Charles and Center for Metal Arts, but downright ecstatic when I opened the project CD and discovered one of my pieces was on the Jurors' Choice list!  Woohoo!!!

5th Annual Charles Lewton-Brain Conference

August 2012 on my blog SueLacy Wired was dedicated to the 5th annual Charles Lewton-Brain Conference on Foldforming.  What a fabulous event.  I posted tons of great pics, along with tips and video all right here...

March 2012 One-a-day Challenge

If you tuned into SueLacy Wired anytime during March, you saw my 2nd annual March One-a-day Challenge.  I created and posted a new piece of jewelry every day of March.  In both 2011 and 2012 I used the month to learn new techniques and fine-tune skills.  There was also a giveaway; winner Katie Thompson got to choose her prize from ten of the 31 pieces I made this month. :-)

Recipient, 2011 Winterfair Scholarship for Emerging Artists

Winterfair is Columbus, Ohio's premier juried fine arts and craft fair.  Over 400 artists  from 30+ states participate.  Each year, two emerging  artists are awarded a scholarship to participate in the show.  I was thrilled to be chosen as a scholarship recipient for Winterfair 2011, and invited to return in 2012!
